Question signal.h or errno.h ?

So periodically I get lockups and I can't pin-point them. Just now I tried removing a season pass and after twenty minutes of "thinking" it reboots..and the logs says:

==> tverr <==
Oct 15 22:07:03 (none) TmkMultiMpegClip::Trace[132]: Tried to delete reader clip
Oct 16 02:17:08 (none) TmkAssertionFailure[130]: (ReWork, line 692 ())

Oct 16 02:17:08 (none) Mediaswitch0[130]: Tmk Thread Backtrace: 1b9a1e8 1b96f4c 1ad6704 1ad7944 1ad71c8 1ad83a8 1adc648 1ad0ac0 1ad0c30 1b91f18 1b9a9dc 1b9ab0c 1b920b8 1ad6420 19432dc 19430b8 1948cc8 1820cb8 1ad07cc 1b92218 1b9a9dc 1b9ab0c 1b92314 1ad0560 1ad15c4 1ad0fa4 18203d4 180021c 1800134 export TMK_POOL_DEBUG_LEAK="*"

Oct 16 02:17:08 (none) Mediaswitch0[130]: Invoking rule 834: rebooting system

so, is signal 2 the same as just reg errors or do they have their own? If it's just a SIGINT is there a way to force a core file when it panics? I haven't done much kernel/process debugging in linux to know how to force it to dump core so I can see where the issue is.

I don't think this issue is related to my previous lock ups though..but I'm getting ready to try and delete the season pass again..and I'm assuming I"ll get the same behaviour, I'd like to get the dump of it. i'll see if i can get an strace dump of it to get some idea before hand.

TIA for any feedback,
^Derrick
