Talking Jobs, cars, ages ... music?

Being a huge music fan, I am interested in what others here are into...

Another lush perk about working from home is that I can play tunes in the background...

Currently I am discovering Pink Floyd - makes sense seeing as my fave band is Radiohead

I also play the guitar and own a 6 string acoustic, a 12 string acoustic and a Rickenbacker 330 6 string electric... as well as a Marshall amp, digital effects processor, etc. etc.

Anyone else into music? Anyone else play an instrument? Perhaps we can get a band together and pen a TiVo tune <g>

Oooer, my original reply has disappeared.

<cue black helicopters>

Fretless and fretted bass here, with eclectic influences from most genres of music except classical, hip-hop, current r&b, rap, etc.

So... drums and keyboards anyone?

Nah, it's still there: http://www.avsforum.com/ubbtivo/For...TML/001307.html

It's just that Robert has had to repost this because the original thread was closed and they cannot be reopened afterwards Same with the 'ages' thread...

Neil.

Gary,

I used to go warehouse raving in 89/90 ... you must of been about 12. hehehehe.

Most of my friends are older than me (they are all mid to late 30s or older) and they don't understand my lurve of techno (apart from Chimaera who lurves his electronic tunes).

Damn right! Had some serious Kruder + Dorfmeister mixes on in the car today... I like to listen to both electronic + guitar based stuff from a wide range of genres and ages. But when it comes to making music, Gibson LP Custom, Epiphone Riviera semi and Tanglewood acoustic guitars, Marshall valve amp, effects, wah wah + multi-track recorder are what you would find in my house.

That should win a prize for obscurity. Hard core industrial German techno is it?

I have a fairly broad musical taste (1100 CD's and counting...), though I go through phases. (Indie,Techno,Rave,Acid,Rock,Latin,Metal,US Alt-Rock, etc,etc)

My current phase seems to be Rap (Ice-T,Papa Roach,Eminem,Dre,Wutang etc..), though I have been playing ROC, Dido and Britney Spears recently too

Wow, more than me! You need an AudioRequest or Imerge SoundServer or Lansonic to listen to them on
