Hacking HMO

Has anyone managed to hack HMO to allow themselves to stream their shows not to another tivo, but to their computer? Seems like if you could do this you could take advantage of your computer's oversized hard drives and free up some space. It also seems like this should be doable by sniffing the packets sent from one tivo to another...

Thanks for the replies... Sorry I didn't know it would be a big no no, I've tried to remove this post, but the dumb form won't let me.

There is an encryption chip in all the Series2s that will make this hard if not impossible. BTW, discussions of hacking like this are generally not allowed, and I won't be surprised if this thread is locked and deleted shortly.

The data is encrypted using hardware encyption (there's a chip specifically used for this). Additionally TiVos with HMO will only speak to other TiVos that are enabled on that account -- they know the serial numbers to talk to.

You'd have to spoof your PC as one of your other TiVos, and then break the encryption. The latter of which would be a DMCA violation, so you're certainly not going to talk about the particulars of it on this site.
