Question Problem with Tivo Desktop

I have set up the HMO option with my wireless network, but have a problem....Downloaded the Tivo Desktop software and have published my music and photo files in the program....problem is that I am unable to go into the Server properties section....I get a pop up message that says "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" I get the same message if I try to click on Start/Resume. I also do not get a Tivo icon in my system tray. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like an adaptor problem

There are so many posts and answers to this occurance. Take a look at one of the first threads in the forum. It took me a while to get mine right. You need the correct version of the wireless USB adaptor.

Good luck

The problem has nothing to do with his wireless USB adaptor.

The problem is that something is wrong with TiVoServer.exe not being able to talk to TiVoBeacon.exe on your machine.

Check the services control panel to see if the TiVo Beacon service is running. You might alway want to check your Windows event log to see if there are any errors relating to the TiVo Beacon service.
