Using Phillips hdr112 with lifetime for recording with security cameras

Hi all,
I just starting using my Phillips hdr112 with my security cameras and I have to tell all that I really love it!
I do not have to worry about the tape quality and the picture quality is great.
I am using the Samsung 4040 for my tv viewing.

Actually, a unit that old would operate in manual mode just fine without a lifetime sub, though it's not like you can transfer this sub or anything.

Four TiVos now, all with single Samsung drives:
Humax DRT800 w/DVD-R (174hrs)
Two older Series 2's (142hrs and 157hrs),and a newer nightlight
Series 2, a stupid case design IMO (174hrs)
All but the last are lifetimed. TiVite since 2000. There is a Good IR solution.

Threesofar,
I realize what you are saying. I just mentioned that it had a life time subscription and I now longer need to use it.
Primarily because of my life time subscription on my Replay.

Tivo wins first place with me.

I'd put a 160 gig in the sub'd 112 and sell it. You'll get enough to buy more cameras, a quad screen splitter, and a refurb series 1 that you don't have to sub if all you're doing is feeding closed circuit video and using a sub'd replay.

Do you just scan through 12 hours at a time looking for suspicious activity and then delete and repeat the process? Does the 112 have the original 14 gig drive or is it upgraded?

Hi Tivoyahoo,

I already have All the items you mentioned. I bought a complete 4 camera/vcr system 4 years ago and never used it
We just moved to a new house and I wanted the back yard covered because of the new hot tub that is coming this week.

My Tivo was upgraded with a larger drive around a year and a half ago.

No, I do not check 12 hours at a time.
I just programmed Tivo to record the early evening hours and am most pleased with the result, especially with the video quality.

Then one has to remember the buffering time. That's just an extra bonus.

That and when the Swedish bikini team comes to visit.
