write an Elvis haiku

A friend of mine is putting together an online Elvis page. He asked me to write something for it and I said what can I write about Elvis that hasn't already been said. As a joke I sent an haiku, and then I decided to write a series of them of the story of Elvis' life, I think it's called a haika.

God help me. But I've got a start, with blanks to fill in. A haiku is supposed to have a reference to a season, instead I've included an Elvis song in every one. So if you are an Elvis fan, why not contribute one? You'll be credited, who knows, maybe it could be the start of a whole new career

When I say contribute one, I don't mean fill in my blanks, just write one about your feelings about Elvis.

Blue Moon is fading
And there's Good Rocking Tonight
Sun has a new star

Sullivan show

Army

Hollywood

Black Leather Jacket
If You're Looking for Trouble
The King has returned

Elvis in Memphis
Blues and country and rock
Oh, How Great Thou Are

Viva Las Vegas
White Jumpsuit and diamonds
Is this rock and roll?

Elvis and Nixon
An unlikely alliance
A war against drugs

Snow falls on Graceland
Darkness has passed over Sun
Blue Moon on the rise

I have respect for The King.

But that's just too perfect.

Four TiVos now, all with single Samsung drives:
Humax DRT800 w/DVD-R (174hrs)
Two older Series 2's (142hrs and 157hrs),and a newer nightlight
Series 2, a stupid case design IMO (174hrs)
All but the last are lifetimed. TiVite since 2000. There is a Good IR solution.
