I need some information not listed.

Ok, just out of curiosity I wish to buy my first TiVo.
Now heres my question :

Can the TiVo Series2 DVr record shows I have on the TiVo hard-drive to a
CD/DVD? As I cannot afford a higher capacity HD for the TiVo besides the 40 hours and I know that I can run that down and would not wish to delete the shows I have recorded.

I have not seen this question or an answer anywhere (Believe me I checked), and would simply like to confirm if it can or not before purchasing.

Thanks for your time.

-Tim

Unless you buy one of the Pioneer DVD Recorders with TiVo, you would need some sort of external recording solution. Standalone DVD recorders are popular - you can connect one to the TiVos second set of outputs just like a VCR. Other people run audio/video cables to their PC's input card and record there.

Or you can wait a few months until the long-awaited TiVo2Go is released. That might meet your requirements (hopefully it meets all of our requirements. )
