"Catch This" suggestion

As the proud owener of a new DirectTV box with of so many channels, I have recently discovered something noticable lacking in Tivo.

I would like to be able to set a "Catch This" Pass for Movies or other 1 time shows. These are shows that cannot be subscribed to as a Season Pass. For Instance, When HBO debuts "Moulin Rouge" I would like to watch it once while it is on. I don't particularly care when I watch it, just sometime convient to Tivo.

Right now I have to go through 1 of 2 sequences. The first is I pull up the show and try to record it, only to find (more often then not at least) that It interferes with one of my Season Passes. Then I have to Find the next show and try again. It's hit and miss until I find a time slot that I can watch it in.

The otherway to do it is to go and set up a Wish List for the title, then Auto-record the wish list. After Tivo has recorded it I have to gon and remove the wish list. While this is doable It isn't terribly easy.

What I would like to do while browsing is similar to the season Pass option. On Movies and similar shows instead of a "Season Pass" option there should be a "Catch This" option.

Basically, still using Wishlist, once the show is found there should be a "Record once then delete this wishlist" item. Does nothing more then keeping your wishlists nice a clean.

I agree with lloydgm, that'd be a great way to do it. The wishlist wouldn't actually be deleted until the program was recorded, though, not just when it was scheduled.

Man are we lazy!

Do you know the shortcut to WL's from TiVo Central?

Press 3 - takes you to WL's
Page up/down arrow up/down to WL
Press delete and confirm

Or just spend a couple of minutes a month cleaning it up - as long as you do this every 28 days, it shouldn't record again.
