How the heck did I miss this thread until now??

I've met Bryanmc's son, and it would be a truly sad thing if such a cute kid had to grow up without HDTV. Please, doante to a good cause.

Edit: Now I know how is missed the thread.. It's in a new forum I've never visited.

Is there a website? You know somewhere to go and check on the progress of the fund. I would hate to see the children deprived of HDTV, but I want to be informed of the progress.

Sally Struthers has the little children write letters once a month.

In the original post I will mention the 'Hall of Famers'.

I could also do a website update, but I'll have to wait and see if anyone really cares about my kids or not.

Sounds like Jeff is going to be the first in the Hall of Fame.

Most epople have no HDTV. SD is just fine, even for many with plenty of financial backing to get it.

Blasphemy!

Anyone that has the financial backing to get HD but is happy with SD can donate to my children.

While I won't send you money, I will consider sending you a gift certificate for Best Buy that would cover the cost of a 47" HDTV monitor and a HD receiver. Please PM me with your mailing address. I also want to get further information from you to make sure you can justify the need for such a donation.

My son needs a Magellan Roadmate 500 GPS system to stop daddy getting lost on those lonely country roads here in NJ. The 500, not the more expensive 700 (I too, am not greedy). When we scrimped and scraped to pull all our loose change together in order to buy the Audi A4, we found we just couldn't stretch to factory solution.

Thanks in advance.

I don't need the monitor, I've got a front projector that I'll use.

But thank you for the offer.

All I need is that sweet HD TiVo when they come out.

How rude! Just when I was considering using the money not spent on GPS to donate to your cause. Guess I'll have to buy 2 HD-Tivo's for me then huh?

I know!

I've talked with my wife about this, but she's not too hip on the idea.

They're even free to replace!

I don't get it. I told her that if we could get drunk and make an HD TiVo then we wouldn't need to sell a kid, but she doesn't see the big picture.

Let me know how they work. I will be green with envy.

My kids will be vomiting with sadness.

Apparently not...

Sorry if this is obvious. My mind is just too clouded with grief about my son watching standard definition television.

OK then, how about selling the wife on EBay. Do you think the kids will agree in order to get HDTV? Can't bear the loss of her? Then just rent her out. It might take a little longer to get the HDTV though...

I don't know, 70 @ $10 couldn't take that long.
