I hope you guys have taken note of this thread:
http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-v...threadid=160431

JavaHMO is almost THE reason to have HMO. Please take note of these suggestions and leverage the free software development you have on the client side!

Something in section C page 8 of the New York Times?

I've played around with it at home, and it does do some cool stuff. When we launched HMO it was our goal that people would build on what we'd done...that's why the development stuff was released.

Of course, it may be scraping some of the info it uses...not sure if that's the case, but that's not something we typically support.

C8 of the NYT? That seems to ring a bell...but not today.

It should ring a bell today... it's on your whiteboard right now.

There was something in the NYT in the business section on Monday about a marketing deal...but don't know if it was on page C8 since I don't subscribe to the print version.

Yes, that is on page C8 of yesterday's editon:

quote:
TiVo in San Jose, Calif., has named Grant, Scott & Hurley in San Francisco as its agency of record after more than a year without one. Advertising spending is expected to increase to $10 million to $12 million a year from an estimated $1 million last year as TiVo seeks to stimulate growth for its personal video recorders. The decision was made after a review. The other finalists were not identified.

But you are better off than UK types still on version 2.55 software and completely bereft of a Series 2 TiVo.

But at least you UK types have the appropriate edge connector on the motherboard so you can install a CacheCard/TurboNet and get access to all the 3rd party apps, right?

I've been tempted to replace my Series 1 TiVos with Series 2, but I don't want to give up my CacheCard and tivoweb.

Or us Series 1 users, although I do not have any other need for HMO at this time.

My favorite thing is the white sun line that starts to move across his body around 4:00PM EST.

We're doing about 500 visitors/day, downloading about half a gig a day.

Must not be too boring.
