Any news about using MyDVD to record shows onto DVD?

At the beginning of the year, a press release came out talking about the HD TiVo and some software by Sonic Solutions called MyDVD. Supposedly by fall of this year, MyDVD would be able to download a show from your TiVo (via HMO) and record it onto a DVD.

Has anyone heard more about this? Buying a DVD-RW Tivo stand alone is nice, and all, but I already have a DVD burner and spending $60-ish for some software that would let me edit (I'm assuming) the shows before burning would be nicer than buying a whole new TiVo.

To view the press release (since I can't put the URL here) go to TiVo's site, About TiVo, Press Releases, and go to the 3rd page for the January 8th release.

All that they've said is that they are still working on it, and won't elaborate any more than that.

I don't know that I'd expect to see much more (official) detail until it's actually shipping, either, barring the release date slipping past next year's CES.

It's called TiVoToGo - search for that on this forum and you will find more discussions of it.
