Arrow Can't boot with TivoNet

OK, so I finally decided to put off the upgrade to 120GB of space in the TiVo and I went ahead and installed the tivonet card.

First I pulled the A-Drive, put it in the PC, booted off the tbdv2.5 (Tivo boot disk v2.5) CD and ran the tivonet script (setting the script values). I replaced the A-Drive, attached the TivoNet, plugged in the ethernet, and attached the power to that card. I left the case top off and booted up. The Tivo boot screen came up and the TivoNet showed that it saw a network (the LED on the card was solid green).

However, even after 10 minutes, nothing more had happened. I was still on the boot screen. I unplugged the tivo, removed the tivonet, and tried again. After a couple of minutes the tivo was up and ready to go.

I tried this a few times. The only variation is that sometimes the tivo would not boot at all with the tivonet.

I had a problem on one of my three Tivos where the Tivonet card did not seat properly and the Tivo would not boot up. I eventually got it seated well enough but it was tough. The other two installed just fine the first time.

When 2.5 is released to the rest of the world, maybe a fix will come. Until that time, it works great with my 2.01-002
