Hidden secret ir blaster???

Though somewhat common place with an SA, I thought this wasn't possible with a Dtivo. Last night my Dtivo thought it recorded a Cook's Tour on FoodTV ch 231, it actually recorded a home improvement show on DIY ch 230. Was this a DirectTV issue, a Tivo issue or is there a secret ir blaster hidden deep within my supposedly totally integrated Dtivo satellite tuner?

There's definately not a secret IR blaster. As for the other two possibilities, I don't know..

I have not seen this happen on myDTiVo machine (yet), though rarely DTV will get the stations mixed up late at night as they adjust transponders and such.

I did it occur once on my SA unit with direct coax cable connection to cable. Wierd,

no sercret ir blaster. many people here have had the units open, and they do have fully eletronically integrated sysytems. Could have been some sort of a half software crash.

Another possibility is that channel 231 got removed from the channel list, and it ended up on the next lowest channel. I've seen that happen.

Sounds like a good possibility. I didn't notice the error till the next day, maybe the channel disappeared for a bit then returned? I'm used to the occasional missed record with my SA's, but this was a first for my 2yr old Dtivo.

BTW, the ir comment was never intended to be taken seriously, but thanks for the replies!!
