Thanks Sir_whinealot . I just had this thing with the NASA channel explained to me and it makes sense so I don't have an issue with that.

The fact that the channel had to be deleted from the Channels I Receive list and then added back in to foster the move would explain it disappearing from the Favorite Channels list. That I can live with. As was pointed out I would not want it putting in every new channel especially the shopping channels. Too bad though, I would think it could be smart enough to know it was in there and put it back in in a case like this, but I guess that is not written into to the code.

There is now a download that is supposed to fix the problem with your lists disappearing every month or so.it started yesterday and will continue till all the old series 1 units have it this fix is also supposed to remove the irritating message saying that it is acquiring guide info.

GuidoTKP, thanks for that information. Do you know if they are rolling it out slowly, a few percentage of boxes each day/week, or if it's available immediately for all Series1 DirecTivos? The reason I ask is because I don't normally have mine connected to the phone lines, so if it's a normal staggered rollout I'd probably just wait a week or two before having them dial in.

I have no idea I did'nt ask about the speed of the roll out but knowing how they did the series 2 it will probably be a little staggered, probably not as bad because there arnt as many of these series 1's in use as there were series 2's.I'll check to be sure though and let you know
