Question MRV a show that is currently being recorded

Here's the setup I'm considering. Two S2 TiVos - one in the living room, one in the den. However, only one digital cable box. So in order to get the premium channels, I would have to watch them in the living room.

Could I "share" a show that is currently being recorded from the first TiVo to the second one? I could see this being useful for pay per view also. I checked the FAQ and searching and it says you can record while transferring while watching something else...but I'm looking for someone who has MRV setup to try sharing a show that's currently recording.

I'm guessing it will work.

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Simple answer, no. Although you can transfer the show after it has recorded, you cannot transfer a show while it's recording. All it means, is that you're delayed in transfering it until it is completely recorded. But then you can watch it while it transfers.

Correctamundo

Ourdoc is correct.

I have exactly the setup you are describing. I decided to save the $6 per month digital cable box rental in my bedroom, and just transfer the shows from the living room TiVo that has the cable box.

Good luck
Jim
