MRV questions
Didn't see a MRV FAQ anywhere. Have an upgraded S2 (stock 60 hour, now 226) in the living room. Have always wanted a 2nd tivo in the bedroom to do MRV, but considering this is the only feature of HMO I would use regularly, didn't make sense to spend $120 (40 hr), $300 (lifetime), $150 (HMO) = $570. Now that it's changed, I'm seriously considering buying a 40 hour and paying the $7 monthly fee. Way to go Tivo. Anyways....
I record baseball at night, which will often supercede several season passes. My thought was to have the new Tivo be in charge of baseball games.
I have a b router.
-How long does transferring one program to the other typically take.
-Are you able to start watching the beginning of the program once its been sent over?
-Are you able to send an in process recording to another Tivo, so that I could at least watch the beginning of baseball on the living room tivo.
-Can you watch MRV even if the central computer the router is hooked up to is off?
-Is cooperative scheduling on the way? If so, do you think it will be a chargeable feature?
-Can you pull/see info from the other tivo to start a transfer, or do you have to transfer it from tivo on which it resides.
-Can you use MRV on a unsubbed S2
-Does Tivo have a timer to turn off the tv in a certain amount of time. I like falling asleep to white noise.
-Do you lose picture clarity after the transfer?
-Will the new design be available for 40 & 80 hour varieties
-How much does 40 hour at Best equate to...~15 hours?
Biggest concern is fan noise, so I'll probably buy from BB and see whether it bothers me enough.
Thanks
