problems configuring airnet S1 Dtivo
Hi--I need a hand...
I swapped out my D-link router for a Magnia appliance server and my Airnet config has gone squiggly on me...
Airnet + DWL-650 card was working fine under previous config so I don't think its hardware...
I'm trying to assign the nic card a static IP of 192.168.2.3, Magnia is at 192.168.2.1, dhcp pool is 192.168.2.100-237, and I have a WAP at 192.168.2.2 (so I know assigning static IPs outside the dhcp pool is okay)
Dlink router was similarly setup except it was at 192.168.0.1, 255.255.245.0
I run nic_config_tivo from a serial bash prompt and enter IP=192.168.2.3, subnet=255.255.255.0, gateway=192.168.2.1 and everything "sticks" except the gateway which keeps flipping back to "dchp"..I reboot after each attempt to no avail...
Here's what I get from ifconfig and nic_config_tivo:
bash-2.02# ifconfig
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Bcast:127.255.255.255 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP BROADCAST LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:3584 Metric:1

TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 coll:0
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:05:5D:5B 8:BB
inet addr:192.168.2.3 Bcast:192.168.2.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
