Last week, I thought I was having phone problems. Turns out my Sony Tivo was having modem problems! Got zapped in a storm.

Searched here, and weaknees, and found the modem replacement kit. A little pricey, but it works as advertised, and WK shipped it the same day I ordered it. I got it in yesterday, with 4 days of guide data to spare.

I'm curious, did Tivo add the code to allow external modems into later versions of the software, or did WK or someone discover it by pushing buttons? I'm always curious as to how you clever guys figure these things out.

It is stock in V3 of the software, as is Turbonet and serial PPP support.
