Well, the thing with the Dazzle is, well... no matter how well protected the video is on your TiVo, *you can capture it*!
And anyhow, it's not TiVo that really wants to protect it. It's the content providers, aka TiVo's partners.
Plus, right now, it's the easiest way to make VCDs/SVCDs of your TiVo shows (Save to VCR, capture) - none of this mounting via NFS, extracting via TiVoNet, multiplexing, etc stuff. Sure you suffer quality loss, but it beats having to reencode audio and stuff (SVCD requires 44khz sampling. TiVo does 32khz). If you have TiVoNet, then go ahead and use *******Stream. If you don't, and don't feel like setting up a network proper, dazzle's the way to go. Nice too for the few times you don't have a DV camcorder (hmm. Capture video to TiVo, then extract...)
