Talking Poll: What percentage of your suggestions would you watch?

Just wondering how many suggestions people have got in their list and what percentage of them you'd be likely to watch. NB I'm not talking about suggestions which have been recorded and are waiting for you to watch, but the complete list of possible suggestions you see if you press TiVo followed by '8' on the remote.

Me? I've got about 64 suggestions and would probably be willing to watch about 60% of them (if I had the time!) Most of the programmes I would watch are in the top half of the list too...

Neil.

I would say about 80-90% of suggestions were good and would actually watch about 25% if I had the time.

I have turned off auto record for sugestions and just use the list to check against.

I don't even have the time to watch all my own recorded items.

I find the majority of suggestions at the top of my list are repeats of series I watch on the main channels - usually on UkGold or one of the Granada channels. Not really interested in them.

I let TiVo reocrd its suggestions but I don't think much to them. I suspect though that that's because I'm quite careful to plan in advance what I want to record and also use a lot of season passes. Maybe if I forgot to record something TiVo's suggestions would save the day, but that hasn't happened so far.

I would say about 30% which is not bad for a 2 week old Tivo and only working on the 5 terrestrial channels.

That 30% represents about 30 programs which I wouldn't have spotted myself so I'm delighted that my Tivo found them for me.

I would watch about 70%. I tend not to hit the thumbs down button much now unless it throws in something from a channel I would not at all be interested in.

Was was watching perhaps one in ten up until a few weeks ago. At that point I wiped by profile and started over. Since then I've actually been watching some of the suggestions in preference to stuff I'd asked it to record - making the suggestions about two thirds of my total viewing habit.

Thie could be just becasue a few of my favourite series have come to an end and there've been a particularly good crop of programmes on that I didn't know about, but I'm happy nevertheless.

I usually have about 100-120 in the list but out of those there are maybe only 1 or 2 I would watch. I, too, deleted my preferences a couple of weeks ago and it got a bit better for a few days, but now its back to about 1-2% worth watching - not reaaly worth it, IMHO

I have suggestions turned off as I found TiVo recording things I am not interested in and "cluttering up" the Now Playing list.

I have usually 70-100 suggestions of which I might watch 1 or 2.

Never used "Inside TiVo" or "Channel Highlights", too many keypresses to select, if title sounds slightly interesting program description is so poor that it adds nothing and also cotains many many many (if not all)programs from Sky which I don't subscribe to. Bit of a waste of time really. Any ideas how to delete off the main menu ?

Tend to select recordings by either time, from reading in a listings magazine, directly by name or program type (ie science and technology).
