Technical ? About Tivo Phone Line Connections

This probably is a stupid question, but here goes, I figure better safe than sorry. I just bought one of those combo fax/scanner/printer/copier all-in-one units (HP OfficeJet 95) to go with my new computer and its hooked up to the same phone line as all of my Tivo units. My question is, if I get an incoming fax on that line, is there any way the incoming data could damage/confuse/in any way screw up my Tivo units? I suspect that they are set up so they'll only accept data if they initiate the call, and that there's no problem having them hooked up on the same line...

Of course, there's always the question that if the Tivo was calling out to get data and someone tried to fax something in, what would happen? Would they get a busy signal? Would the Tivo's call terminate in favor of the incoming call? (I realize that the chances of an inbound fax during the brief amount of time of a Tivo call is pretty remote, and I could avoid such a possibility by manually prompting the Tivos to call when I know nothing would be coming in, but I'm interested)

As far as the TiVo is concerned, your all-in-one device is just another modem or telephone sharing the line. It won't hurt the TiVo. And unless you have call waiting, incoming faxes will just get a busy signal until the TiVo hangs up. Conversely, if you try to send a fax *out* while TiVo is calling home, the TiVo will detect that someone picked up the line and it will drop its connection.

Merci beacoup. I thought so, but I'm inherently neurotic, so I thought I'd better ask, just in case...
